BYE ’07! HELLO ’08!

So in another 6hours’ time, or 7 i’m not really sure, its gonna be 2008! Hi people, how was your 2007?
I’d like to say that my ’07 was an eventful one. A new chapter of life, cliche-ly put. I started the year working part time, experiencing how the world outside school is like for 2 months. And boy it wasn’t as easy as how we thought, but heh, being able to sit here blogging means i got through it anyway.
February was one of the best cus i went Taiwan, and not only that, i went with my pretty darlings. 4 of us and a new country, one of the best concoctions in life, and by far the best experience. Looking back, i still don’t know how i managed it, i mean, we did MANAGED to persuade our parents to let us go there all alone, with no kith or kin there. Plus the whole planning before the trip thing was so rushed. I mean, considering the fact that the tickets were only booked 2days before we fly and i was still working 2-3 days before. But alas, the trip was so good, i can’t wait for another one, which hopefully, is coming in a few months’ time. 😀 Oh before i forgot, i got my Os results the day after i came back. Which was pleasant i guess, or in another way, neither here nor there.
Also in Feb, evie left Sg to continue her studies. 😀
March saw through another part time job which was the awesomest to say at the least. Sandpile! (Oh yes, kelly officially went to TW for work too.) Then it was having fun and more fun until school started in Apr. Wasn’t keen at all in the first place, but didn’t we all felt the same? But! I grew to love everything, new friends(yes yes, liujingyi, ngjieying and tanxingyu you people lar) Also a bunch of wonderful classmates, tang, alvin, ron, alaine, shupeng, solyh etc etc, the list goes on but i’m too lazy to write all out.
May, june, july, august was just swoosh! I seriously couldn’t remember a lot other than projects and all school related stuffs.
Sept was vacation and another part time job. 😀 Plus it was birthday month! Ahhh, nicest. Oct was half half, half being vacation, another half being start of a new semester, oh yes, dreaded, but nontheless made me happy cus i could go to school and hang out with people whom i like!
Then Nov came and just left, with lectures, tutorials and all. Dec then came and woo! Here i am, just had my mid sem tests and sitting through my 2week break.
So really, in another few hours’ time its gonna be new year! I hope all of you reading have had a good ’07 and from me, a whooping ’08 ahead! Cheers people!

So the first week passed without much excitement. See, i either go to town to meet my friends, or i stay home and watch shows on the comp. Watch until, the only alphabets that i’m registering are, B, for Blair. S for Serena. C for chuck. N for Nate. D for Dan, etc etc. look at the impact on it man. That being said, why won’t episode 12 come out soon!
Before i forget, MERRY CHRISTMAS! I ought to blog more but well, really i can’t think of what i wanna blog about everytime i want to so that sums up for the lack of posts. Past few days were food, food, presents, more food, chocolates of all kinds and mahjong! Omg totally the love and i see it as national love. But i lost money, and bloody hell lost to ysm omg i can’t believe it lar.
The family booked a chalet so we celebrated the annual chirstmas gathering there. Wen organised one too! And there was gift exchange and the presents were damn innovative, 3 lovely one-gallon-each water tumblers of different colours courtesy of junwei and gang, and alot of other stuffs which i really couldnt really remember. Then 38s bought gifts for one another, woohoo i only did shopping like hours before the exchange, it was so rushed i almost died. And total damage to wallet, ok let’s not talk about it. But it was worth it so 😀
Next week = school reopen and i’m not looking forward, ok maybe, for the cheap comfort food and of course to bitch with jieying, jingyi and mich. WAH CANNOT WAIT.
The commercial that’s reapeating itself non-stop inside my head, that jolin commercial. Where her last sentence (or only, im not very sure) is “WELCOME… TO TAIWAN” with some old guy. dang.
Ok, im going off. Sigh i miss taiwan. Wah sigh, i need a job. Wah shit, next monday isn’t very far.

Handing over the exam script to the invigilator at around 9.46am today, i almost jumped with joy. THAT MARKED THE END OF THE MID SEM TESTS AND I HAVE TWO FREE WEEKS AHEAD LEH. YOU KNOW HOW PRECIOUS THESE 2WEEKS ARE? VERY LOR. So yes, yesterday night jie ying told me that she and jasmine liu jing yi that girl wants to go TM after paper, so i was like ok, i promised them reluctantly. Reluctant as i was i bought a shit load of stuffs from the MNG F/W sale(the sales are damn good anyway), so yeah, you could see how reluctant i was. And liu jingyi is worst, you should have seen the way we fought through the crowds man, its like warriors in wars. But then, like any other consumer, i suffered a bit of cognitive resonance, pondering over stuffs here and there, but ohwell, i’ve kind of gotten over it. And since i’m going to town again tomorrow with the girls, i’m going to go over to the Shaw tower one to check out that pullover which i was eyeing and wanted to get but couldn’t find it today as it was chaos everywhere in the store. I want my pullover. =\
Ok, i’m a happy girl. But after checking the bank account, i wasn’t anymore and i need a job to fund that account.

this time of the year, where so many other individuals, like me, are struggling with crammed-with-words/facts/theories/strategies notes. Sigh, somehow, this is taking more toll that the Sem tests, ok maybe its because its year end and everyone’s on holiday except us, but fret not. MY HOLIDAYS COME SOON TOO.
2 down, 4 more to go, come on! We can all do it! 😀

We whine when it doesn’t rain much in the earlier part of the year, when the sun feels like it never sets, and now, when it rained from 9+am to 7+pm, we hoped that the rain will go away quickly and that the sun will shine brightly tomorrow. So, question is, what is it that we want lot. seriously we people can get so whiny at times, even if its only about the weather. Point is, yeah, i want the sun to be out too cus i wanna wear my birks to sch, it sounds superficial but that’s the only decent pair of casual footwear that i own at the moment. My flops are gonna kill me someday due to its friction-less sole and that means i have to cough some pennies out to get a new pair of flops, for the very very rainy days like today. Now a new pair of havianas sounds apt for the flop job don’t you think?
Officially hooked on to Gossip Girl and i tell you its sooooo good, like really. As what jenna says, it satisfies that inner bitch in you if you have it, and its damn bitchy i almost can’t take it but i just can’t help but continue watching it. But well, like i said, almost. And anyway i think i’m so bitchy sometimes i’m gonna end in hell after i die.
Mid-sem’s next week and i cant wait for it to be all over cus i want my break. Come on, 2 weeks is always better than nothing. Oh yes, i’ve not yet study and my french test is tomorrow, but no worries, what must come will come.
